One of my pistons is frozen in the caliper. Anyone have a source for a new or rebuilt K/H Right side caliper? Was looking at some aluminum ones for $690 or so, but would rather spend less. Maybe rebuild kit and some pistons? Rockauto maybe? |

Rockauto tends to show them in stock, but not have them when you order (happened to me). From what I've heard, they're fairly easy to rebuild, but I haven't tried yet. That's the route I'll be going in the future. There's also been a few amateur rebuilds on Ebay lately. You might give them a try (and a lot cheaper than the aluminum calipers). My worry with the alum. is replacement parts in the future. I think they may use different (unique?) pads. SSBC hasn't been very forthcoming with my questions. |

I found a local source for a remanned right and left caliper. They're about 300 miles away from eachother, and will get here tomorrow afternoon. $100 each. CDN I just said &#@% it, now I'll order up a rebuild kit and however many pistons are bad, then ebay rebuilt calipers, or keep them as spares. |

I'd say you got a good deal. When I got mine rebuilt from Autozone several years ago, I think they were around $125, PLUS the core charge. Good luck!
