One of my pistons is frozen in the caliper. Anyone have a source for a new or rebuilt K/H Right side caliper?

Was looking at some aluminum ones for $690 or so, but would rather spend less. Maybe rebuild kit and some pistons?

Rockauto maybe?

Rockauto tends to show them in stock, but not have them when you order (happened to me). From what I've heard, they're fairly easy to rebuild, but I haven't tried yet. That's the route I'll be going in the future.

There's also been a few amateur rebuilds on Ebay lately. You might give them a try (and a lot cheaper than the aluminum calipers). My worry with the alum. is replacement parts in the future. I think they may use different (unique?) pads. SSBC hasn't been very forthcoming with my questions.

I found a local source for a remanned right and left caliper. They're about 300 miles away from eachother, and will get here tomorrow afternoon.

$100 each. CDN

I just said &#@% it, now I'll order up a rebuild kit and however many pistons are bad, then ebay rebuilt calipers, or keep them as spares.

I'd say you got a good deal. When I got mine rebuilt from Autozone several years ago, I think they were around $125, PLUS the core charge. Good luck!
