OK, here is where my 'figerin' has got me so far:
'63 dart, full interior, street car.
904/225
Right now it has an open 7.25 of undetermined ratio.
I also have a narrow (57-59 ford) 9 inch with 3.55 gears.
What converter would work well with the 3.55 gears and this
engine combination?
Feel free to comment, critique or otherwise, it's all good.
225
9:1 CR
"Good" valve job, bowl and port clean up and ports matched.
Erson RV15 Cam
H-Pak 450cfm Holley VS
Thanks,
Brad

Looks to me that you already have a rear end gear ratio, 3.55
So based on that and the fact that you want the converter engaged at freeway speed, I would shoot for 3000 stall.

Yes, I would prefer to use as much of what I already have if and when I can.
Thanks for the info Doc.
Brad.

I have 3.73 gears and before i put the 4spd in my 904 had a 3000rpm stall it was sweet as the car got faster i could foot brake a bit above 3000rpm also

I agree - 2800-3000 stall in a 9.5" or 10" converter.
