I have a 66 valiant with a slant 6. The power steering is so strong that I can steer with one finger. Is there a way to tone it down so that I have some feel of the road ???

Yes, it requires a rebuild of the steering gearbox, incorporating stiffer (thicker) reaction rings and careful attention to clearances. You can buy such gearboxes already built up from outfits like Steer & Gear or Firm Feel.
