Should I even get a high stall TC?

Its been a wile since i posted here, but i got a good one for ya'll.

Car is a 73 Scamp, with all the heavy crap taken out...should be around 3K now. 3.23's, manual VB 904 with the low gear set. Your basic slant build up.... .060 to 100 taken off the head (not sure what the final ended up being..was milled be4). Ported/polished, Clifford, holley 390, split headers Isky cam #152116 with .448 lift and 264* duration on a 109* centerline, MSD, etc....

With the little 3.23's and the not so big Isky would a higher stall converter help me out any? Or should i just save the cash and get a stock unit?

With that combo, I would guess a higher stall (2500 RPM or higher) is worth 0.3-0.5 sec in the quarter. This would be enough to make it worthwhile for me. I had a similar cam in my '68 Dart when I put my first stall converter in, and I was astounded at how much difference it made, especially with stock/mild gears.
