What did they finally arrive at for $$ on a rod/piston combo? These were all 7+" rods too, right? |

I was wondering that too. What's the final specs and price of the piston/rod setup? |

mopardemon71 can you post some details on price, specs, etc that would be great! I have been sitting on my cash bag patiently to see if I need to beg a bit more cash or not for this purchase. Thanks! Thanks MJ |

Cost is around $915 for the rods, rings, locks, pins, arp 2000 bolts and pistons. they are 7.005 long and the pistons, due to their metric nature, are .025 over and .045(I went with the .045) for other options ask brian by email. the pistons do have valve reliefs as well. what we are getting is almost 2.5 pounds of still rotating mass removed from the bottom end and the ability to handle way more power than stock rods. Brain wont be back till monday so email him and he will handle the rest. I'll post pic's as soon as I get them tomorrow or sat. To all that buy thank you for you support with this endeavor i really worked hard to give us something we have never had. Next is header I guess. I'll answer as many questions as I can But Brain and Tom are the guys to talk to. |

I must have missed the details on the pistons. Are they forged? what is the compression height? Ring size metric? Volume of valve reliefs? Are they available separately? Price? bwhitejr |

the pistons are forged and the rings are metric as well not sure of the ring sizes but he did say their lighter. This is a set up for stock deck height and a stock unmilled head to achieve 10.0/1 compression. I think the compression height is around 1.735ish.you can get the rods or pistons separate or as a "jobber" set with everything minus the bearings for the rods. the vale reliefs ,I belive, will handle 1.78/1.50 valves but that I cant be positive on those spec's. look for a thread for Bnutter and k1tom for details. Package price is $915 not sure how that brakes don't for the two. |

Will they offer dished pistons also, or is there enough crown material to carve a dish into them? Where can I find the piston specs? |

The piston part number is 5112H45, you might be able to look it up on their online catalog to get the specs. www.wiseco.com |

Awesome, thanks for the pics and info. They give no info on their web site. Just that they are back ordered. They have 2 in stock it says. I wonder how thick the very center of the piston top is at it's thinest point. Any way you could measure it for me? |
