| Post subject: | alum. slant to 4 speed??? |
I was just informed by somebody that my aluminum short block wont mate with my 4 speed. the car is a 65 cuda with a 4 speed. whats with the crank? Somebody explain if hes right, and what to do if hes right....Thank You kewda225ci@aol.com |

SL6 matches position on the Cast Iron Slant, where was the area of concern?? DD |

SL6 matches : position on the Cast Iron Slant, where was : the area of concern?? : DD I told him this.The guy i got my 68 valiant from told me that the crank is different for a stick than it is for a automatic. he took a slant six out of a 68 valiant stick car, tried to put in with an automatic, but it wouldn't work. said the transmission wouldn't bolt up and that the crank is drilled differently for a stick than it is for an auto. But someone else told me, that there is just a little bushing that's pressed into the crank and it needs to be grinded off in order to use it with an auto. ksjo923@hotmail.com |
