mid twelves. not every run was timed as it was really an arm drop weekend but we were allowed to run all day anytime we wanted. Later i ran after a track prep and it wasnt yet sticky(spun no wheelie)still ran a 12.90.
Car was shifting too early as you can see in the video. I have cured that to some extent although this winter i will do the A&A govenor thing. I have kind of goofed around with the car for a few years but now I a back to my old self. I know with a bit of sorting out i can run 11s and i am hoping some high tens somday. So far i think i am still under $3000 although pretty close to going over that after the converter purchase. Originally i built the snowmobile carb manifold and needed a car to put it on so built this one. now i have proved the snowmobile carb idea was workable and have moved on to seeing what can i wring from this deal. Am currently building a tunnel ram on rainy days as well. This run was wih a eddy carb. I now have a 600 DP holley on it. If sound means anything and out on the road trials I think there is a lot to be had. Eddy would never colour the plugs at all even with bigger jetting. Ran into this before when tuning a 300 Ford six for a friend. Holley will do whatever you ask. Car with this engine should be capable of Hi tens I believe. My goal anyway.
