What effect does a sticky Manifold Heat Control Valve have on the running of the engine? Mine is loose through the middle of it's travel, but gets stuck at the end of it's travel.

Depending which end(s) of travel it's sticky at, it can affect your cold-engine driveability and fuel economy, and/or your warm-engine driveability and fuel economy. Go to a Chrysler or Dodge dealer parts counter for a can of solvent p/n 4318 039AB. I don't know what-all is in it, but it's very different from the ordinary Liquid Wrench types of penetrating oils. Shake the can well, apply it to both ends of the shaft (cold), and jiggle and rotate the shaft to free it up. Repeat a few times so the solvent can flush the built-up carbon away.
