Well I'm about a week and a half away from starting to drive my dart and I'm just wondering what kind of millage to expect. Its a 1964 dodge dart i believe it has a 2.76 rear gear bone stock 225 with factory 1bbl and single exhaust will have a average load of a full tank of gas, my 350 pound self and about 50 pounds of worthless junk lol.

If the drivetrain is all in good shape, you can probably expect 17-19mpg in town with a light foot, and low 20s on the freeway. I have peronally achieved 27mpg/freeway with my '71 Dart Sedan, and I get about 23-24 mpg/freeway with my '74 Swinger.

The earlier cars are typically 300-400 lbs. lighter depeding on what the car was equipped with. My '74 weighs in around 3500 with me in it, and some extra stuff in the car.

There are alot of things you can do to improve the mileage (Super Six, large exhaust, custom distributor). Since yours is an earlier car, it will take more imrovising to make it work (such as the gas pedal) but it can be done.

You could either get 10mpg or 19mpg around town depending on how the thing is tuned. If it's running real nice you'll be closer to 20. If it's just running stock you'll be closer to 17. If it has some timing or carb problems you could be below 15.

I had 13mpg with my 1920 1bbl. I get around 20 with the Super Six and stock 1bbl exhaust.

the carb is being rebuilt this week so anyway i go it sounds like it will be better than my 82 ford f100 with a 300 in it. Im getting around 8 with it in town.

I woudnt say that this truck has pulled every thing I have ever hooked to it. Same thing goes with my grandfather because it was his truck b4 mine may not be the fastest but so far it has atleast been as reliable as a /6.
