This is the same color as my interior. Just wondering what color it is...medium blue?

Also I'm thinking about painting the plastic that covers the A pillars. Has anyone had any success with this? The plastic is strong but very brittle on the outside from the sun. It's faded and scratches extremely easy to the touch. Which kind of paint could I get that would match the original color? Thanks

That is "Medium blue poly" ("Poly" = metallic). There are codes for high, medium, and low-gloss formulations of it; you can get them from www.autocolorlibrary.com . However, you will likely find it easier to get a more satisfactory match by proceeding along similar lines to what I did when I painted the armrests in my '62; see here.

Looks like it, but remember similar-but-not-identical colours were often used in this model year versus that model year, so check carefully and/or proceed according to my response above.

I don't know, that looks lighter than my interior. Especially the paint on the doors and the steering wheel.

Looking at the Plymouth paint chips, I see nothing for Medium blue for 1971. The two closest are Glacial Blue and True Blue with True Blue probably being the closest. Is this correct?

Post subject:  Yep...

that color is pretty close to 'B5' in the 'color scheme' of the mopar world...
B3... is like a sky blue, and B1 is very light blue.... (B1 being light, B9 being almost 'navy blue')

I've seen a few of those interiors... it's blue alright...I think slantsixbob has that color inside and out on his 1971...

No. You're looking at the exterior paint chips. You need Page 2 of the chip chart, which covers interior colours.

Pretty close anyways, the outside of his car seems darker than the inside. I don't remember what the tag says about it, I will have to take a look!
