Are there any GOOD chrome valve covers on the market worth buying for a /6? What posts I have read say they are most junk and need modifications to work. |

Not really... Offenhauser make a nice looking cast aluminum cover, except it doesn't have any baffles or a PCV port. SS Dan has a good work-a-round for this issue here: http://www.slantsix.org/forum/viewtopic ... 0165#80165 Another option is to get a stock cover chromed plated ($$$). |

The cheapy Chinese chromeys are OK. Just do the Buick Estate Wagon PCV mod on it. I have one. Slap a MP sticker on it and you are good. |

Cheesy thin metal, bolt holes that don't line up...no baffles...mods needed to make 'em even kinda-sorta work...none of that qualifies as "OK" in my book. Neither does buying Chinese trash when there are other options available. Not on my car! But to each his own. |
