195 and 230. Now stop changing the parameters and go to bed.

Or fall in love or something.

Kids.

More donuts, same time, more horsepower. Stick Fopar in there. He's good for near two tenths in my car!

Linda just added you to her "A" list! :D

I need to run to Eugene for more Chrome Moly tubing....

There are many different formulas out there to compute horsepower, some giving quite different results. It is more meaningful to compare your car with something you know. For what it's worth I would recon that you had about 210HP at the flywheel at Redding.

Look at it this way, my car is very similar to yours plus a hundred pounds. I went 13.76 @ 99 this summer using three gears on my A833 OD. Your automatic set up will give away a couple of MPH but your ET will be better in relation to your trap speed if you have the right converter. Automatics generally leave much better than all but the best set up stick cars.

My car would go 13.60 @ 101 at 2650#. You should be able to see 13.20 @ 98 if you can get your engine to run about the same. Since you were only able to make a few runs you might already have the right pieces and just need to do more tuning. You need a head that will flow over 180CFM on the intake and a cam with about 240 degrees duration at .050. You need to change the gear or your tires to get the RPMs down to about 5700 @ 98 MPH, higher RPMs just create problems and don't make you any faster. Just keep working with your same combination, you are on the right track.

If i use my same combo,BUTT,go to a 28.0 tire on the rear, what will my rpm drop, over the 26,0 that I am running,6,100 tru the 1/4 with ,Curious if just a tire change is enough,I do not compute,Thanks,Mark

Your RPM to go a certain speed is proportional to the circumference of your tire which is proportional to it's diameter. So if you go from a 26" to a 28" tire the circumference will increase by 7.7% and your RPMS will drop by the same amount. 92.3% of 6100 is 5630. Now if you can increase your speed from 94 to 98 that would be 4.2% increasing RPMs by that amout bringing you back up to 5866. A little bigger tire would be ideal.
