Weighing my options here.

I am looking at a Volare with a 360 in it. I want a slant. I know I would need to swap the tranny et. al. My question is about the motor mounts. I know it is fairly easy to swap k-frames on the f/m/j bodies (four bolts and it drops off), but how difficult is it to cut and weld new motor mounts only? I don't suppose anyone makes a kit....

You may be on your own on this. I think I'd first hit the parts department at your local Mopar dealer and look up part numbers for crossmember and engine brackets. (Both Xmember brackets and engine brackets.) That may tell you interchangeability. It'll also give you an indication of what's involved to remove/swap said components.
From there it might be just a trip to the salvage yard to snag needed pieces off a donor car.

Thanks. Last time I was messing with F-bodies I know that there were different k-frames for the v-8 and slant six cars, and that Schumaker doesn't make a kit to go from 8 to 6. I guess the easiest route would be to swap k-frames since it is just four bolts....

With the later "spool type" engine mounts, it is pretty easy to weld-up a set of special motor mount brackets. I have done this on a number of race cars that could not decide if they wanted to SL6 or V 8 powered.

Making special mounts to adapt a SL6 onto the V 8 K is managable, it's trying to get the V 8 into a SL6 K that is a challenge, seeing that the driver's side mount is closer to centerline and pretty tall for the SL6 application.
