Well on my 8.25 the fill plug is always seeping a bit of fluid.. It has one of those Plastic / rubber type push in plugs - - not the thread in type. I have changes to a different plug and still the same problem. It's impossible to have too much fluid as I have filled it with the correct amount and I has seeped so much for a while it as to be a few ounces under. Thoughts to stop the leaking? Should I try soaking the plug in the parts washer solution? I have done that be accident before and Made rubber stuff expand. Thanks! Greg |

Greg, would it be possible to remove the cover, and either thread the hole to use a regular plug, or weld on a "bung" with threads? |

Does the 8.25 have a vent? I don't know diddly on most rearends just wondering if it's not vent properly and leaking out path of least resistance. |

I think the vent is integrated with the junction block for the brake lines. At least thats how it is on my 8 3/4" rear. |

Yes this has a vent - Some have a vent like the 8.75's and some have a separate vent tube.. I should check it for blockage though. Thanks, Greg |
