I have a 1967 soft top Cuda with a 3 speed slant six, 225. Just replaced alternator and it is overcharging battery with engine running. I am in the middle of my first ever engine tune up. Need to locate the ground straps referenced in a manual that may be loose or bad!? Or any advice on what else it could be or needs checking! Thanks thejps@mindspring.com |

The v. regulator could also need replacing, some times they get "polarized" or shorted by the failed alternator and shoud be replaced when a new alternator is installed. DD |
