Does anyone know a p/n for a the little piece that connects the control cables to the sliders. I can't for the life of me find the one that fell out of sight.

Dude, truck on down to your nearest True Value hardware store and ask/tell the man what your looking for. Unless of course your another one of those purest that has to have the correct part or do without, but who's going to see it to know that it's the wrong part?

or unless it isnt the push-nut and is something else that a hardware store doesnt carry, in which case truck on down to the junkyard, or hit up an online junkyard like wildcat. or one of us will have it. i don't, sorry.

Are you talking about that funny shaped clip that holds the insulation of the heater cable to the tab? Then theres a screw that goes through it to hold it tighter?

you may have to go to a specialty fastener store for a push-nut, consumer-level hardware stores rarely get into push-nuts. home depot is a long shot. check the yellow pages under "fasteners" if you get into trouble.
