Does anyone have the 360 converter weight template? A buddy has the weights, but don't know where to put them? |

are you talking about the balance weights? the converter needs to be dynamically balanced to determine what weights, and how many, need to go where. that is IF, for whatever reason, the weights that were on there were removed in the first place. but why would one do that? |

Well, mopar and others are selling the weights and instructions about where they go, when you use a 318 or similar (neutral balance) converter in a 360. They are there to balance the engine, not the converter |

If I remember correctly, that info is in the Mopar small block racing manual. Maybe someone can scan it for you. |

I removed the weights from a 360 converter once, when putting a 318 in my van in place of a 360. Has worked well for about 5 years. Do miss the extra power of the 360, but one of these days when I've got the time..

ok now youve got me curious. i did a quick websearch and came across a post from 2004 on another site, posted by a "gunPilot" (same guy that is registered here?) and he talks about the weights mid-post. http://ramchargercentral.com/index.php?topic=14832.0 if it was me, i'd throw out the weights and go with the b&w flexplate suggested there and in other posts i dug up, which would open-up your converter choices. YMMV, no direct experience on this one... |
