is there a company that actually makes double roller timing chain sets for the slant six. I plan on putting an aftermarket cam in my slant six, mopar performance cam # P4529342 and that stock plastic cam gear isn't going to cut it. Or is there a company that makes single roller timing chain set that has a steel cam gear with it. I read the slant sickness article, who makes the sealed top gear for the double roller timing chain set that was used.

Cloyes offers a double roller set. I bought mine from Clifford Performance (909-734-3310). PN #95-1972 $121. I know I could have gotten it cheaper, but I was ordering some other stuff at the same time.

Do a search on this site, there was a thread on cloyes only offering parts and I ended up with a "dynagear" equivalent.

Here's a pic of the one I put on my block 3 weeks ago, the marks on the gears were off so I had to use the Mopar Performance bushing set with the 4 degree bushing to put her back on track during the degree wheel process....

Best of luck.

Give Cox Bros. Performance a call. They carry two different roller timing sets for the Slant Six. One is a double roller set. The other is a true double roller with multi keyed crank sprocket. They also have many other slat six parts. Real nice intake/exhaust gasket, extra thick, and a lot of material around the ports. Solid copper head gaskets, Roller Rockers. Even special connecting rods (expensive, but nice). They also race a 10 second Slant Six powered 66 Dart. Their phone number is 614-268-9920. e-mail CoxBros66@msn.com I have bought several items frome them. Very nice people.
