Post subject:  About the "new" repro exhaust manifold

There has been somewhere here on the forum before talk about the repro exhaust manifold. Couldn't find the topic though.
Where they made in China, or do I remember incorrectly?
Has somebody bought and tested those, would be nice to know are they worth buying or not.

They seem to be somewhat cheap at least, with gaskets nuts and studs included
US $89.95 from 'ClicknSave Auto Parts LLC' that sells them via evil-Pay.
SHIPPING: $29.95 With Insurance included (in the US 48 states only)

Yes, they're from China. It's not clear whether they're all coming from one factory or if there are multiple points of manufacture, and it's not yet documented why some of them cost $300 and some of them cost $90 — though given manufacturing realities in China right now, it is likely that the $300 items are the firsts, the $150 items are the seconds, and the $90 items are barely a notch above reject-level quality and will require some grinding and/or drilling and/or flattening to work well.

Whichever manifold you buy, it is very much worth your while to get the good gaskets for the manifolds-to-head and intake-to-exhaust junctions.

Im not so sure, I have seen a WIDE variation of prices on all kinds of things online. Smart shopping can result in paying 50% less for the exact same product. As always buyer beware, but it is possible it is the Exact same part just someone is willing t0 take less of a markup than the other guy.

I have one. Some general notes:

1. Yes, they are made in China.
2. They seem to fit OK, but I'm not bolting mine to a stock exhaust, either.
3. They have casting flash all over the place, including in places where I'm not sure why there should be a parting line.

O'Reilly's sells 'em for $415.99! LOL!
If you do buy one, in my opinion, you should cut off the front half and buy a Dutra manifold for the front.:)

I bought a 225 for $30 that had one of these Chinese exhaust manifolds. The cores for the ports evidently twisted in the mold as the manifold inlets were tilted. I squared and opened up the inlets slightly and it's been working fine.
