I was looking some articles on swapping DOHC Volvo heads on SVO mustang blocks. Apparently it has been done a few times successfully. I have also been reading up on the aluminum block Slant Six and noticed how similar the open water passage deck was to pictures of the deck of a Jaguar V12. This made me wonder if a SOHC Slant Six was possible. I haven't taken any measurements so this is just mere conjecture.

Has anyone looked into or accomplished this?

Al

Thanks for the link Slantzilla. To all of the jaded "eyerollers", If the guy who prototyped the crossflow head had discussed his plan here before building it. Perhaps he would have been discouraged instead of applauded!

Here's to opening dialogs of "wacky ideas"

Dude, it's fake.

No offense, but we go through this same conversation 10 times a year easy. A better head for the Slant has been looked at by every serious Slant racer for years. There is no workable replacement short of an aluminum casting, and no one wants to pony up the coin that would take. Yes, there are at least 3 viable designs for an aluminum head in existence. :D
