Well I am getting some front and rear suspension parts pulled off a parts car, and I cut the shocks open instead of unbolting them..


Man that oil in there is some of the worst stinkiest stuff with a pungent odor to it.


What is that stuff?

Special hydraulic dampening fluid. I take it the shocks were bad otherwise they would have exploded (contents under pressure). There is no way it smells worse than rea axle fluid though.
