I searched as best I could, but I can't find anything about available quality clutch brands for slant 6 9-1/4" clutches.

Where is the best place to get a clutch / best brand?

Rock Auto sells AC Delco. Any good?

Try to get a new (not rebuilt) unit. I don't know about brands. McLeod used to make a nice one, but likely not anymore.

You might google, and call, Valley Clutch in Irwindale, CA, if they still exist. I bought some nice clutch parts there 10 yrs ago...

If it's a stock replacement with no "abuse", then you are stuck with LUK or ZOOM. Ive used Zoom 9 1/4" in my rigs with no problem except they will not take repeated hi-po drag style launches. After that you are looking at an aftermarket clutch which there aren't many choices. McLeod would've been the first choice but they aren't making them.
A few people are running SPEC slutches and there are some issues there mostly due to the clutch not able to take repeated drag racing launches, that being said if it's just a daily driver and no racing their Stage 2/2+ should last forever and worked well for daily driving behind a moderately souped up slant...

This is for a stock replacement for my mileage car. Stock cam, stock everything except Holley Economaster and 2-1/4" headpipe.

What is wrong with LUK? Poor quality? Similar quality to Sachs?

I got on SPEC website and can find no slant 6 clutches. Just small block, and some 383, listings.

They don't sell as many so they aren't in the catalog the number on my box depending on the type was SD252-2 or SD253-2.

LUK and ZOOM are OK, and luckily are new not "reconditioned"...

for a stock daily driver the NAPA/Autozone special should work fine.
