Anything wrong with this size tire for a 65 barracuda? It'll save me about 15 bucks a tire over a 195/70/14 at tire rack.

Thanks.

No, it'll fit the wheels fine. You'll have to decide if the resultant tire size will be okay with you. The $15 savings is on tires identical except for the size...?

yes, as far as I can tell. The tires are a BF Goodrich Traction T/A "H"

195/70/14=$63.00

195/65/14=$47.00

BFGoodrich Traction T/A H (High Performance All-Season)
UTQG: Treadwear: 440
Traction: AA
Temperature: A440 AA A

Thanks!

Interesting that there'd be a $15 price difference! Wonder why. I have these tires (195/70R14) and like them quite a bit on my '71. Overall tire diameter 195/65R14 = 23.98", 195/70R14 = 24.75". Don't remember if they make them in a 205-series, but that might be a better pick given that you have 5½" wheels.

They have a 205/60/14 which is $59.00 each. I'm still saving 12 bucks a corner with the 195/65/14.

I can put that towards finding 7/16 LH/RH lugs acorn lugs for the rallys.

They had the 195/70/14's on sale last week for $45.00 but I missed it.

The wife isn't too happy with ANY of this but she's being a good sport so I'm willing to compromise.
