Dart270 has an A-500 in his '68 Dart. I think that would be a better idea than a 518.

A-500 would be better, lighter weight, less parasitic drag.

THe only way to maye an A-500 to an A-518 is with the A-100 adapter plate from pre-68 A-100 trucks and vans or with the somewhate rare(r) preproduction adapter plate run that was done a few years ago by A.R.E. Engineering (I think).

You need the engine to tranny adapeter, the spacer for the flex plate, and longer torque converter bolts. But it is pretty nifty if you can pull it off.
