I'm wanting to convert to front disc brakes on my car. I see that SSBC makes a front disc brake kit, but specify for 10" drum brakes. My car has the 9" drum brakes on the front, is there a difference in the 9" and 10" drum brake spindles? I see that a few other companies have kits out there like MP brakes, Wilwood and Scarebird, but I would like to keep the small bolt pattern.

The scarebird conversion retains the 4" bolt pattern. In fact, it retains the original hub with the drum removed.

There seems to be a difference in the knuckles, but I haven't looked at them side-by-side.

From Scarebird's WEBSITE:

"The 9 inch setup mounts to the front, while the 10's go to the rear. The brackets we send are different, and not interchangeble."
