Gentlemen,
How do I check and prove that a brake booster is inoperable, other than the obvious that the brakes "dont work"?
Getting good engine vacuum, hose is in good repair, no noticable leaks. thanks for any insight.

Pump the brake pedal several times, to expell the vacumm, with the engine off. Then depress to pedal, and hold a moderate pressure on the pedal, while starting the engine. When the engine starts, the pedal should drop slightly.

hey thanks,
incidently I did a search on troubleshooting brake boosters, and im starting to believe that the booster itself may be at fault, if the check valve proves to be ok.
