As i will wait to shorten the 8 3/4 on my 63 do you think it will run a 9" slick on the intrepid rim(40mm offset) with out cutting or does the cutting comence? Here are some pics that show how wide it is.

I'm not against cutting the car just if it can be done without it I'll do it that way!

Hi Tristan: You can easily move the existing leaf springs inward and that will give you lots of wheel opening room for the 9". You will find there is a lot of "top side" room in the opening so you can go to a 26-28" in height with problem. No need to cut or tub....Is it cold in Reno??? Later, Wayne

Hi Tristen , good deal, is the transmission fixed? a friend of mine was going to buy it but waited too long . The owner claimed it ran 12s, but we thought 1/8 mile. If you need a tranny i just removed the one from the 64 to install a later model with a higher stall. Its free if you need it,just have to come and get it.my 69 had a wide b body 8 3/4 with 95 minivan 16x7 wheels and 27 tall x 10 sidewall tires fit great. I agree with Wayne ,no cutting required.

Hey Sergio, The ladie started to yap about 11's and I asked if it was 1/8th mile thats when she said "Well close to 11's"... I know better than that.
The engine is built way beyond what i have in my car,and i run high 16's at 3500#. I think they put the motor in without the adaptor ring for the tranny! If not i will get in touch. Didn't mean to steal it from under any one!
