I often hear that power steering, especially on Mopars, is is too "power" oriented and lessens the amount of "road feel" trafnsferred to the driver. Here was the solution I came up with for my 84 5th Ave: ![]() ![]() |

LOL. that is cool. I useta have one of those but it was on a butcher block chair bike i made, shoulda kept that thing . BTW now you can make a break from the law if needed and drive with handcuffs on. |

And here I was getting all ready to expound on replacing the subframe isolators for better handling and road feel. |

As far as true suspension upgrades, I like soft springs with rubber isolators on the frame and stiff front and rear sway bars. That way it floats over bumps but doesn't dip in the corners. |

Youre exactly the kind of lawyer i would want to represent me. When the reporters show up, and start snapping pictures of you stepping out of this car with a center braid, three-piece suit and leather briefcase, id point and say "yeah, that's my attorney." the logical next steps in my view are these, first a limo tint, next a set of handcuffs off the rearview mirror, and buckskin cowboy boots. lastly, these:

Limo tint is planned, as is a set of fuzzy dice. I don't wear cowboy boots, but I do have snakeskin shoes. |

I warned you about the over stuffed seats making for cramped quarters in these Fifth Avenues. I think Chrysler had some long term contract with a seat outfit to supply Imperial seats. Chrysler just stuffed the damn things into Fifth Avenues until the contract ran out, and stopped building the car at that time...

Actually, the seats are pretty decent. I just need to redrill the holes to move the driver's seat about three inches farther back. This is due mainly to my height. Otherwise, I am pretty happy with them. |

Oh yes councilor, I agree, those seats are wonderful, top shelf, 400, damn nice, pimp tested, pimp approved. The darn things just belong in a wide, long wheel base car, such as a mid seventies Imperial, they are just too over stuffed for a little Fifth Ave.Dose your head hit the roof? |

Actually, even with the factory sunroof I have plenty of head room. About four or five inches worth. I drive with the seat low, though. I don't do bolo ties either, but I have a nice selection of regular silk ties. My sisters like to buy me clothes so I have a good selection. I even have some of the "Jerry Garcia" line of ties. And I do favor pinstripe suits, but not Brooks Brothers. Nothing beats a good charcoal double breasted suit with light gray or white pinstriping. |
