Post subject:  Sealant on the Plug Holes?

Hey guys, I'm assembling my motor and installing
the aluminum spark plug bosses. Should I put some
sealant around the chamfered edge that contacts
the block, or do they seal metal to metal good
enough?

Thanks
Mike

Mike,
The Aluminum spark plug tubes have a rubber o-ring at the top and seal directly to the head surface at the bottom. Be sure to remove the spark plug's metal gasket (ring) before sliding the plug into the tube. The tube acts as the gasket, no sealer is needed but I tend to use a small dab of anti-seize compound on those long reach spark plug threads.
