I know I read somewhere that there are 2 sizes, one is 2.15_? and the other is 1._ _ _? Is that mesuared to the inside of the crank or the outside??
My other problem is the adapter plate from the engine to the trans broke while pulling the engine (chained slipped) engine went out the bottom and hit the floor. GRRRRRRR!!! I bet this won't come with a rebuilt long block will it??

That is the inside measurement of the hole the converter snout fits into. IIRC, it is like 1.850", but the difference between it and a '68 up crank is very noticeable.

I know the feeling on the chain slipping. When I was putting the motor back in the red car last time the engine crane nosed over and dropped the motor down the front of the grille and bumper, then dented the pan when it hit the floor.
