This is all on a '64 Dodge D100 with an A745 three on the tree:

I finally got the clutch relined and put it in with the trans and driveshaft and made a throttle linkage, and went to go start the truck up and move it for the first time in over six months and the clutch goes to the floor with no resistance. Here's the setting of the problem: earlier that day (yesterday) I had pushed on the clutch and even though it felt softer than it should, it still had resistance and moved the slave cylinder. Later that night, I went to push the clutch and it just went to the floor. I looked in the reservior and it was empty. I was thinking that maybe I had just sucked the last little bit of fluid through and then started sucking air into the ssytem. I put a master cylinder kit in it about a year and half ago or so. The line going to the slave cylinder is clear and clean (I'm pretty sure). I filled up the reservior and went to bleed the system and everytime we opened the bleeder screw, only a very little amount of fluid came out and no air came out. We did this quite a few times and it did the same thing. After that, I pulled the boot off on the cab side (under the dash where the link from the pedal hooks into the master cylinder and pushed on the pushrod a few times and then it shot out a bunch of fluid (like it should I guess) and then we put the boot back on and tried it some more and again it just shot out a tiny amount of fluid with no bubbles, but still no resistance on the pedal. There are no leaks in the line or master or slave cylinder that we can see.

Any ideas what this could be? Could this be a matter of "bench bleeding"? I'm anxious to get it fixed as this is the last thing to fix before I can drive it again.

Uhhh, no. fluid should not come out back of MC. The piston is letting fluid slip by it, pretty much how they fail. Iknow what a pain it is to get it off but you are going to have to if there is nothing coming to the slave. I think I am reading your post correctly, and you had fluid gush out into the cab side? Unless you are wanting the original, you can use any of the modern masters with a plastic reservoir as a replacement. You can rebuild them too by boring out the piston hole and resleeving it with stainless or brass tubing.

I guess I worded my post wrong; fluid was not coming into the cab side. I guess I forgot to say that we removed the line running from the master cylinder to the slave cylinder when we were doing that. Basically there seems to be no pressure, no leaks, and no air in the lines.
