1981 Dodge D150 truck with an NP435 4 speed. 1,000 miles on an overhaul. New Single Carb. Electronic Ignition conversion. Used the RV cam on the build. I think thats everything you guys need to know.
Now the question: The truck runs very well overall but there seems to be a dead spot in the torque about mid throttle. Example: I'm accelerating down the road and lets say I have just shifted to 3rd gear. If I mash the gas to the floor she pulls very well getting to 4th gear. If I ease off the gas pedal to I would guess 1/2 or 3/4 she falls flat on her face. I know it should not have as much acceleration with less throttle that is obvious, this is something I can feel in the seat. Sound familiar to anyone?
I'm probably missing some info so ask away.
Thanks!

Yes, sounds familiar. Need more advance.
It's time for a distributor recurve.
What is your base timing?
Which distributor did you switch to?
Do you know what springs are in it?
What is the governor? 9L or 11L, etc.
What is stamped on your vacuum advance arm? 7, 9, 11R?

Where did you buy this "electronic ignition kit", and what specific/exact "kit" did you buy?

You might know Dan...you referred me to the guy when I did my build and wanted to replace the lean burn system. I need to find my receipts for it. That or look back thru my old posts here. I'll see what I can find.
