Just found and joined this site. I didn't know that the slant 6 had such a following. I've bought 3 slant 6's from one man. The first was a 1960 Plymouth Savoy 4dr,just like the one that is owned by one of the members of this site. I sold it last year with only 18k original miles,my bad!!! The owner of these cars passed away 6mo. ago and I just bought his '77 Dodge 4dr Aspen w/33k actual miles and sold it. However, I'm keeping the 1967 Belvedere I S.W. slant 6, 3 on the tree, radio delete with only 27k(not documented, yet). I got it runing after cleaning out the float bowl area but I have brake work to do. It is a lot of car, being a S.W., for such a small mtr. It has rust in the spare tire wheel well area and bumps and bruises here and there. I don't know whether to leave as a survivor or ????. There is one other vehicle thats in his estate, a '50 Dodge panel van. I'll post pics of the Belvedere in a few days. Is there anyone else on this site with this type of car? Thanks |

Hey cool, another B body! There is a guy in Oregon who has a mid '60's Belvedere (sorry, can't remember who) also. My Satellite is slant powered also. It is alot of car for a small engine, but they are torquey and with carefull tuning can be fairly responsive. With a manual transmission you'll have some good rear gears (either a 3.23 or 3.55 to 1). Let us know what you want to do with it and we'll help you out! ![]() |

Nice score. I have a '66 Belvy wagon with a slant in it. we mostly use it to bomb around the backroads. A well tuned slant will move that hunk-o-steel with no problems. I also have a '64 Dodge wagon but it has too many cylinders so we won't talk about it here. These are old photos but you get the jist. <img src="http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d166/kittyempire3/tolist304.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"> <img src="http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d166/kittyempire3/tolist306.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"> |

Hell yah, we've also been racing Osoyoos the past couple years, it's a new track with lots to work out still but it also means that they haven't developed the usual track politics yet. Merit? That's right near Ashcroft. That's a great track, unfortunately it's the same distance for us to go to Mission. Well be in Mission this year for the old time drags at the end of July and the Mopar nat's again in Seattle, whenever that is. Look forward to hangin' out.

Thanks for looking!!! I sold the Savoy a year ago for $2800.00. I saw the guy at a car show last week and he ask if I wanted to buy it back for the same price. I'll pic it up this weekend. It has the slant with three on the tree and 18K original miles. It needs the rubber trunk seal replaced and repair work is needed on the channel. It has original brakes and tires which need replacing. Is it still worth that price??? The wagon needs help also with rear Qtr panel rust but floor pans are solid. Its also slanted with three on the tree and radio delete. |
