Post subject:  Holley 1920 Carb Idle

I rebuilt my carb for 73 Duster and assuming I got it right and clean, I cannot get the the carb to idle. It will fire right up but after a few minutes once it warms up, it will not stay running. I've used the Holley manual that I found on this site but still no luck. The chock pull-off is new and works fine. Juat can't keep it running.
Help!!!!

Was it idling okay before the rebuild? Will it run okay now above idle once warmed up? And how did you adjust the idle mixture?

Ran ok prior to rebuild but stumbled when you accelerated, hence the re-build. When it warms up, chock flap fully open, it dies!!!

Okay...and how 'bout the other question I asked?

Where do I find that manual on this site? I'm getting ready to attempt rebuilding my 1920 and that manual would be helpful. There's no tag on the carb so I'm not sure which model I have. I have excessive rich mixture problems.

Carburetor operation and repair manuals (and some training movies) are posted here for free download. You'll want to install a new float in your rich-running 1920, and make sure the power valve check ball hasn't fallen out of the metering block.
