how hard would it be to retrofit a/c from a 67 into a non a/c 63 ? A forum member has a/c from a 67 baracuda, and which parts do i need to make this happen?

If the A/C system you're looking at from the '67 is the aftermarket, dealer-installed type with the entire in-car unit contained in a bulky under-dash housing (fan speed and cool/warm controls, blower fan, evaporator coil, ducts) then it would be only moderately difficult to install in your '63.

If it is the integrated combination heat/AC system in the '67, with five pushbuttons and a temp control slider in the dash above the radio and a slim AC outlet duct under the dash (with no controls on it) then it will be an extremely difficult and costly job to retrofit to your '63. You'd be looking at extensive sheetmetal rework on the firewall and dashboard, relocating the windshield wiper mount and reworking the wiper transmission linkages, and a great deal of additional major surgery.

I installed a factory (integrated) '65 Dart heat/AC system into a '65 not originally so equipped, and I will not do it again; even that same-model/same-year retrofit involved an enormous amount of difficult and invasive work.
