Grr. So before i get tooo irritated, I need some help. I've got my starter pulled, but I CANNOT get the damn nut that holds the solenoid wire and the battery cable onto the starter off!! The one for the battery came off fine, but the other one is giving me grief. The nut turns, but it isn't coming off. I've held the back nut with pliers and it still isn't working. I guess if all else fails Im getting a new positive cable for the battery along with the starter. |

You're talking about the little one right? Try forcing a small screw driver tip underneath the nut and pry up while turning the nut. Hacksaw or file, grind the nut off maybe? Good luck young lady |

Nope. Figured it out. Bought a dang wire crimper and new eyelets. Whoever did the starter the last time cross threaded the small screw. Now that is not my problem. Dead battery. New starter is installed. Got a jump and she fired right up. Let her run for 10 minutes to charge, turned her off, now she won't start again. I don't know how old the battery is. But I'm betting I just spent the money on a starter when I shoulda just gotten a new *&^^&* baterry. |

10 minutes isn’t enough time to charge the battery. It probably didn’t charge much at all while only idling. If you have it checked, the battery has to be fully charged to test the starter or the battery. A dead battery will test as bad and a dead battery will make a starter test as bad. Danny |

It was the battery. Had a good charge with the drive to Schucks. Turned her off, then back on twice, then clickclickclcick. Brand new battery and she has some freaking POWER again!! |
