Wow! what great detail. What brand/color gray paint did you use on the control arms etc.? I'm about to complete my front suspension as well.
What are your engine specs?
Thanks Derek

Post subject:  1978 Voare Updates

Thanks for the encouragement.I sand blasted everything after completely disassembling it.I used Hammer Rite paint on the suspension. The stuff sticks great and holds up well.It doesn't like brake fluid or thinner to much.It really takes abot 10 days to dry throughly.I've used it on some cars in the past (10 years ago) and still loks good.I have let it dry for a week the applied a high solids clearcaot and it made it chemical resistant. It's pretty much done under the hood.Still waiting on the motor shop to get my motor done.He said it would be in time for the MATS.It
ll take me a couple of weeks just to get everything hooked back up properly and still will need test and tune. Its looking bleaker and bleaker for me to attend,Missed it last year waiting for the first engine. If I didn't have so much tied up in it I would just get a rebuilt and toss it in the hole but that ain't gonna happen.I'll post some additional photos when I get the motor in.Gotta tin in the back seat area this weekend in case I make it so I don't have a problem with tech. Thanks

Now that's funny!

When I bought my first 65 Barracuda the guy made me take a 65 Valiant and two car trailers full of "stuff" along with it. Must be an Arizona thing...

Actually, now that I reread it, it's worded so poorly it could be misinterpeted rather easily.

But yeah, it was funny when it was happening

Post subject:  Udated Volare Photos

Naw my wife didn't say to much about the "dog house" . I told her it was a spare so after I hit the wall with the car I would have nice rustfree sheet matal to replace it with. That went over worse. She thinks I'm going to get killed or something.Like I keep telling her "It's only a slant six".
It was a nice clean front end, good steering coloum and misc. other parts and a very fair price! I hate going to the boneyards nowadays. They want way to much for the parts that need to be reconditioned. All i kept hearing was how RARE a 8 1/4 rear end was?I really wanted a quick change but not in the cards this year.I wanted to build fiberglass bumpers this winter but the whole engine deal axed that plan.Who knows maby next winter I take the dog house and strech it and build a tube chassis and make a altered wheelbase Volare.OK in way off now. Thanks for the positive input.
