The 67 Dart I just bought has a set of WELL used 3X2 Clifford headers. They look awful. I was looking at ceramic coating websites today and it seems like they can blast them and coat them. But I wonder if I'd be happy with the results. I am not a perfectionist guy, but I would want them to look decent if I spent 200+ getting the coating done.

Anyone ever done this to well worn rusty headers? Opinions on how it turned out?

They will look shiny, but rough wherever there was rust. If they are solid and not too thin, it's probably worth it. I could look at them at the Hagerstown race.

Looks like new shorties run $359 ceramic coat black or silver $150. From Clifford's website. Hope this helps the decision making process! Have a good one!

There ceramic coated black is just painted black using a ceramic paint by the way. If you do get them from Clifford I'd see about getting the coating done yourself if you can locally. The less time Clifford has them the better.

Thanks for the thoughts guys.

Lou, I will take you up on that at the race. If I can get my 4 speed finished in time I want to race my car too. Just a question of $'s. The 3 speed in it right now just don't cut the mustard. with the 4.10 rear it is geared waaaaaaay to low.

If I do get any coating done I was going to find a local source. I have heard too many horror stories about clifford.

Thanks again guys
