Could a 2003 Durango have the much wanted short starter on it? (Craigslist ad, haven't talked to the guy parting it out yet so I don't know the engine in it yet) |

It does have a short starter, but not the kind you need — you need one thru '01, with a nosecone. The '02+ starters don't have a nosecone, needed for proper alignment in pre-'02 applications. |

I replaced the starter in my Volare a couple of months ago. I got one for a '93 Dodge Dakota at O'Reilly Auto Parts. The previous starter had been in there for at least 6 years. |
