Post subject:  Replacement Manifold Studs & Valve Seals Need

As some point brass valve guides were installed in my head. The type of oil seal that was used is a 0.6" tall umbrella style that I can't find on line or locally. I also need a few new manifold replacement studs. Any hot tips on part numbers & venders that would have these parts?

0.6" umbrella-type seal is Fel-Pro #SS13955 or Sealed Power #MV1771C (pack of 8 ).

Manifold stud/washer/etc. type info is in this thread (and the threads linked therefrom).

Thanks Dan.

I located a bag of studs after getting blown off at NAPA this morning, from a New England Chain; VIP Auto. The Manager made a 15 minute call to VIP's HQ, got the info, and ordered me what I needed. I'm happy.

Thanks for the seal part numbers that is a big help.

I have ordered a cheep die grinder and several burs for it, and over sized SS valves from Engnbldr. The head is striped & degreased, awaiting for a drink of acid. By next week it should be off to the machine shop for a shave & a cut.

Dan, could you help me out. VIP got me the wrong manifold stud: Dorman 675-092. Do you have a part number for the correct stud?

Thanks Dan, I did not have the shades on. However the guy measuring the sample I presented, and the following phone call was all his gig. Len was hell bent on getting me what I needed then and there...

When I returned from the store after making the order, your message with the part number was than read by me. A case of it's in the mail so to speak.

Back I go...

Thanks again.
