hey everyone, i have a 70 dart, my first car, that i've been playing with for quite some time now. it started out as a base 225/a904, i ditched the auto and the slant has been punched .060 over, cammed, decked block, milled heads, larger valves, 4bbl offy intake, carter 500 4bbl, clifford headers breathing through a single 3" exhaust. been dyno't at 170rwhp and 200fltb of torque. it is backed by an a-833 od unit with a sure grip 8.25 out back. i have had it in storage for the past few years and i will be going at it again shortly. right now i am planning to shoot it in petty blue, customize the interior, install a painless wiring kit, and dial it in again. i will looking to change out the long tube headers for some shortys and hopefully it will be where i want. ![]() ![]() |

Excellent ride. Nice to have you aboard. That should be a pretty quick car (15s) if you are making that at the wheels. Lou |

thanks everyone! yes, it'll move - the engine was professionally done by mopar expert dennis maurer in tempe az. when it was first rebuilt, it was backed by a badass 904 with reverse pattern manual valve body. it was fun, but nowhere near having that third pedal. i shut it down correctly and had to put all projects on hold with the new family and baby, but now that she is getting older ill have the time to set the dart up again. its not a daily driver anymore so i can take my time with all the details, no rushing to get it on the road for the next day. |

Great looking dart!! I love the cragars! One piece of advice, STAY away from "painless" wiring. I've seen all over other boards as well as here, that there's nothing painless about it. You can do a search but heres a link to another board discussion on wiring harnesses. (FABO) http://www.forabodiesonly.com/mopar/sho ... ess+wiring EZ wiring might be a better choice, granted I don't know from experience, I just know what I've read. I'll be needing to do it on my 71 duster if I keep it. Anyhow--- again sweet looking dart! Dietz |
