If you are around stock or say supersix I would go with a better rear gear and electronic iginition. Then i could give you more performance tips. Better than a converter up grade. Thanks Ron Parker

I've been searching around the net and I have yet to see anyone other than 16 year olds recommend the ones sold in the speed shop catalogs. It appears that there is a ton more that goes into a good reliable, efficient converter. I talked to a couple guys that I know from the tracks I have been at and this guy Lenny keeps coming up. Has anyone ever done business with Ultimate Converter? http://www.ultimateconverter.com My brother told me that it is probably more important for us low HP guys to have an efficient converter so it may be able to put every single horse down. Does that make sense and justify the cost of a custom converter?? Any other recommendations for a street/strip converter??? |

Yes, what is your engine buildup, and what are your perf goals? Midwest Converter can build you a really nice one. Several people here have gone through them, incl me. Talk to them on the phone and have all your numbers ready. My favorite street/strip converter would be about 2800 stall. Acts like stock until you stand on it. Lou |

http://www.fticonverters.com/ is what I recommend. I tried Spec converter and Midwest and I have found the FTI converter to be not only better built but performed better at the track and on the street.
