First of all: EEEEEEEWWWWWWW this thing is nasty filthy. Second: I mangled the glove box while pulling it out. Anyone know if there are reproduction (preferably ABS plastic or metal) glove boxes available anywhere? |

Year One, and here have glove box innards. All the ones I have seen are HD cardboard. |

'76 A-bodies got durable plastic gloveboxes that'll fit, if I'm not mistaken, any '67-up A-body. Not sure if the '76 plastic item is reproduced; check with REM Automotive. |

'76's got the 'clear' plastic glove boxes, I have found a few 1974-1975 Gold Dusters had been optioned with black plastic glove box inserts, they will fit any 1967-1976 A-body, pretty much all the A-bodies up to the 'late' years will be the black cardboard ones.-D.Idiot |

Thoes were options? Well I got lucky I guess. I have a plastic one, but I broke a corner off. |

I installed a new glove box in my old crate last year as part of a heater box rebuild project. There was a huge difference between the old nasty decrepit dry rotted cardboard, and the much stronger new unit. Tip: make sure the heater is up and running correctly before installing the new glove box it. |

No joke. I don't want to ruin a good new glove box insert because I screwed something up.I still have to blast and repaint the metal parts for the heater box. Going to drill the rivets out that mount the door hinges to the plastic so I can blast and paint those as well. I'm also getting a 0.10" sheet of aluminum cut to match the cardboard that goes on the back so I won't have to worry about damaging the corners with my feet in the future, and hopefully it won't deteriorate....ever |
