the old alternator in my 82 truck went out.there are several 318 diplomat type cars and a few 80's 318 trucks at the local junkyard.i know i can pull the alternator and this is an upgrade i had planned to do from the stock alternator.the question is can i pull the voltage regulator and use it?some of them have fairly new looking euipment under the hood.
sorry for this basic question but it has been years since i fooled w/electrical stuff other than direct replacement.
