i need the rod bolt torque for arp rod bolts down at the shop and forgot my book. on phone sorry for dumb posting |

I believe ARP will have their own torque procedure, so look at your ARP box or their website? My recollection is that stock rod bolts have a 45 ft-lb torque spec. I usually run mine up to 55. Lou |

When assembling an engine, you should duplicate the torque used to hone (recondition) the rods to began with. If the shop is getting ready to recondition the con rods, set them at 55 ft lbs. and be sure you write down that number in your notes. DD |

thanks guys you saved me two hours of driving back to the house. bottom end is all bolted in and ready to go. waiting on head to come back from machine shop and cam to arrive and she is ready to fire and tune. thanks again for the help |

The best way is to use a stretch gage. |
