Post subject:  cam bearing

anybody, when using hyd cam are/is the rear cam bearing different from solid lifter cam/ like grove in rear bearing or should you grove camshaft?

Yes, the rear cam bearing on a factory Hyd. lifter engine had a groove. This allowed more oil to get to the rocker shaft, thru the rocker arm, down the pushrod and to the lifter.

There is no reason why you could not add the groove to the cam journal.

doc thank you very much i thought that such was the case but the machine shop returned my bullet no groove in the bearing duh V/SA
