Disappointing the subject line had nothing to do with the subject of the posting. I might have gone after that block had I actually looked at the original post. :?

Yeah, all this time I was amazed nobody from here posted about this block.
I have been watching that thing all week!
Between no mention of it on this site, no reserve, and the high bid of only $156.00 with 4 hours left I thought I had it in the bag.
That is until I went out and finished putting my new plastics opn my CBR 600 F3 and decided while I was energetic to fix some small things on my Ram.
I didn't remember until 8:30pm and the auction ended around 3:00pm.
Being a couch potato today would have paid off.
Than again, having an aluminum block laying around that I'll never do anything with probably wouldn't be my best purchase either.
I'd still like to find one though, but everyone seems to want $600.00 for them, and well thats a lot of money for a slant six block. Especially when it still needs all of the machine work completed.

There has been some smoking deals on eBay lately.
I watched two complete Hurst 'Competition' 4-speed shifters (with shifter, chrome handle, shift knob and rods sell for under $100.00 and a few sets of A-body chrome sport mirrors sell for the same money.

I'm glad the prices of stuff are starting to come back to reality, although it'll still be a year or two before it fully happens.

There was a real 1966 Plymouth Satellite HEMI car with VIN plate and title that just sold for only $5,211.00!!!
FOR A TITLED HEMI CAR!
If I saw that auction I'd have bought it up in a heartbeat.

1966 Plymouth Satellite 426 HEMI car with original door VIN & a clear title

Hard to say whats going to happen with these cars. Laws are getting stricter and the enthusiasts that drove the prices up are growing older and will be dying off.
By the time anyone has money again, gas will probably be so high not many people will want them so the demandwill be low.

Whoever bought that Hemi car probably got screwed. What it needs to return it to any kind of condition is going to be way more than that year/body style will bring. The 66-7 B bodies just don't get any love, Hemi or not. :(

I'd gladly give the new owner his $5,211.00 for it if he wants to unscrew himself.

Sure if you are paying a shop to build your car it'd take a small fortune, but it wouldn't take but a good parts car and time to make that thing a sweet street/strip car.
I'd do what it takes to get it back on the road and enjoy the snot out of my HEMI car.
