Anyone hear any times ect. Only info I have is that Andrew(kidd) ran a 13.06 at over 4000 density altitude. These are the first runs on this car, could go 11s in good air .

13.06 at Vegas is pretty awesome for the first time out! Is Andrew still on the motor or did he go to the dentist?

I am sure its on motor only,k1 rod /piston home ported head, not sure about compression. That gives us Andrew,Aric ,Wayne, Doug and a couple of new cars coming soon in the twelves. I will be in that range for Kearney, seems everyone has stepped up about a second over the winter.

Yes.... Andrew (Kidd) has a good engine there, he just needs to do some additional tuning and it will be way faster in good air.
I was able to do another in the pits, "between rounds" distributor recurving job for his new combo. using borrowed tools and parts provided by others...
That effort got him over a second and helped the car settle down as far as better starting, idle and off-idle performance went, I still have my "touch".

I also did a valve ajust for David F. and his black 63 Dart GT. That is the car that we did a "by-pass" operation on last year. David replaced the cam and lifters and it's running well with a replacement Erson cam.

Guzzi Mark came right out of the box with a 13.95 so he has his car back to where it was before the bearing spun. That car has more in it.

I need to get photos posted tonight along with more race info.

And I was first round fodder!

Hooptie ran a best of 16.75 not bad for the altitude!

Now I need to figure out how to cut a light with the new front runners.

An update: Andrew and crew are still not home yet. They had a major mechanical failure on one of the tow rigs, and then lost a trailer tire later in the trip.
I'll let Andrew bring everybody up to speed when he gets home. Sounds like a rough one!

They are still an hour plus from Eureka.

Been there... done that and don't like it a bit.

2 years ago, Allen and I had the "tow from H..." with our tow home from Vegas. (we blew a head gasket on the tow car)
It took me a month to get the wagon fixed and another month to get my head back into racing.
Best wishes to the Howards on getting home ASAP.
