| Post subject: | rear end filler plug |
could any one tell me type of tool needed to remove the rear end cover filler plug. not sure of the rearend size but it is in a 76 scamp,225 auto. rear drums 10'' with a 4 inch bolt pattern. it looks like a cross between an allen and star. thanks jd |

It's 1/2" double square on the 7 1/4. A 1/2" ratchet or extension will fit fine. |

And if you don't have (and don't want to buy) any ½"-drive tools, just pick up a 3" length of ½" square bar stock at the hardware store. It'll fit right in the plug, and you can turn it with an ordinary ½" wrench. |
